This one is evil, 919cc 1996 frame, 45mm Showa forks, aprilia rsv Mille swingarm, 929 tail, 893 front, 919 tank and lower fairing. Full yoshimura system inc headers, stage 2 dyno jet, k&n. Approx 170kg. R6 rear wheel, 17" fzr front wheel & 4 pot nissin calipers and a race lightweight fairing wrapped around a Mille r headlight top it all off nicely. I'll post up a few pics tomorrow when I'm on comp and not on phone.
We are geared for 175mph at 12,000 rpm and it pulls HARD to that limit with the use of the cbr600rr ecu too. It's a proper hooligan machine!
However it's a pussycat compared to our Yamaha TZ750!!!

Sounds goood Steve, the later 'Blades got too small for me. I can not ride the ( newer than 2004 ish) models for more than a few minutes before my hips are hurting like he11.
They make me feel very over the hill

i think i have figured out a way.
Use a Pic, sample the pulsewidth from the trigger pulse, and use that to set the pulsewidths of the other 3 pulses and then just divide the total pulse duration into the relative time for the 360 degree rotation and bingo you have 4 equally spaced pulses that is easily adjustable too.

if the pic samples the pulsewdth every pulse from the sensor it would calculate the varying speed as the pulsewidth will be longer when the bike is travelling slower and it should also be a linear relationship too i think. When the bike is stopped there would be no pulse so the speedo would just read zero as the pic is not sending out the other 3 pulses.

ill find out exactly when i get my new scope, but i think it will vary with speed as per typical hall sensor pulse

Talk about over-engineering a simple solution. Either use the original, matched kit for the speedo, else adapt the existing setup to trigger every 90 degrees, as suggested by others. Chucking additional I.C's in there is an unnecessary level of complication and just one more thing to go faulty.
