Seemingly a very bad idea to spray Hammerite as it contains silicone, which actually provides the hammered finish effect. Can be a big problem if you spray anything subsequently, as the silicone tends to get well dispersed when spraying Hammerite, and will effect future paint jobs.

I used to spray hammer finish enamel onto boiler parts in a factory and we also painted outer panels with stove enamel but the two were at opposite ends of the factory about 200 yards apart each with their own extraction system.
I sprayed some smoothrite onto some wooden gate fittings and some windscreen wiper arms, it was the satin black stuff. Good and surprisingly durable finish too. Also did some pop up headlight components.
I did use their own thinners though. I think they're different to celly thinners? So it still works with them?
