Spraying equipment for a beginner

Hi all, as mentioned in my previous posts I have a triumph herald I restoring and am looking at trying my hand at spraying some epoxy primer on it after finishing the bodywork.

I have a 150l 3hp burisch compressor which is rated at 14 cfm which has the regulator removed and a cheap wall mounted jobbie with a retractable hose fitted. I am thinking it is wise to run a new air system for when I am spraying so was thinking of a 10m 10mm hose to a regulator/water trap and then another 10m 10mm hose to my gun. Does this sound acceptable and should I invest in water trap/ reg for the gun too?

10mm airline will be to heavy and cumbersome....8mm is all I use....
I run my gun thru a water trap but straight from the comp.....
never been a prob.....
if the airline is very old u may get contaminents like oil mist as well.......
I do have a dedicated airline for spraying...
as it gets older it gets down-graded and a new one is obtained....

I use a trap and regulator on the gun and have never had a problem
