Spray oil?

The gearbox on my lathe is open at the bottom and the apron seems to.not have any oiling points at all. Well, there is one, but it looks like it misses everything in there!

I thought I could maybe get an aerosol of spray oil that I can just spray in them now and then but a quick search doesn't show up much other than 3 in 1 and wd40 type things.

Are there any better ones available?
Or any other thoughts on keeping things lubricated?

Someone once gave me an aerosol of grease for use on motorbike chains. Sprayed very well then "froze in place". More recently, I've bought aerosol lithium grease which does pretty much the same.

I have spray greases, but wanted to stay away from grease. Something similar but which leaves a 40wt oil would be ideal, so it can then slowly seep part the gears and onto the shafts etc.

I'd try and use engine oil in a spray bottle, but access is tricky so point and squirt aerosol would be perfect.

Can't find any though, just light oil, penetrating oil, and various greases.

I use a chain saw chain oil but u need a dropper.....
it lubes well and stays on the gears for quite a while.........

Open gear lube in a spray can.

Modify a Shutz gun (or cheap paraffin gun?) to blast chain oil into the gear-housing via a tube (like when spraying chassis cavities)?
Admittedly a bit of a "sledgehammer" solution perhaps
