Spray gun recommendations.

Sand all the paint off back to gel coat. Then look for cracks, delaminations or filler. Grind them out. Lay in some glass fibre mat or tissue depending how deep.
Most likely old hat now, on my Piper and Mini Marcos I sprayed a coat or two of Reface (spray filler, not high build primer).
Then Lechler then Nisocoat 2.

Epoxy as first coat is now the recommended method. Everything else, including filler for minor works, goes on the top and then sealed with more epoxy coats.

You can get a kit from fast mover that has a gravity gun with different needle sizes and different pot sizes.

I have a couple of their mini touch up guns.
Great guns and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of their larger guns.

Don't just flat it, take all the paint off completely. Otherwise you run the risk of cracks appearing in your new paint.
And if anyone suggests 'Vee-ing' out cracks and filling them, slap them and walk away.
You may end up covering the whole lot in mat or tissue.

Without knowing the size of the compressor it’s difficult. Especially with the air consumption of the larger spray gun 16 cfm will be a struggle for any single phase air compressor to be able to keep up with that.
