i spray about 50psi it depends on thickness of paint and what type. if pressure 2 high it blows the paint allover and causes a lot of overspray. just practice on a tin can 1st till get the best resultsI use 2k paint. I usually spray at 45psi but my paint supplier just told me i should be spraying at 70 psi. Would i get a better finish using a higher psi?
I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure that gun is HVLP so it shouldn't be 70 psi !!!
I pretty sure that gun is used for spot repairs mostly.
I just checked and you may be right, although the spray pattern can be opened up to give a full 180mm fan
I have been using it at 70 psi for a long time now and the finish is very good, would i get a better finish if i sprayed at 40psi? Or will spraying at 70 psi damage the spray gun in the long term?
I mistakenly put 60psi through mine one day and it spoilt the seals.
You will have a lot less over spray.
I have devilbiss sri pro spray gun. What pressure should i be spraying at?
For spraying alloy wheels.
Thanks
