Spotmatic M2 Manual anyone ?

Hi All

Just picked up a Spotmatic M2 spot welder from the local auctions (on a whim), but naturally no manual. Anyone got one they would be willing to scan for me ?

Can't imagine the salient information would run to more than a couple of pages ..

OK, so I trialled it on a couple of bits of scrap and after upping the current duration in an attempt to get a lasting joint I melted the bottom electrode 'like a candle'.
I suspect I am :-

A) Not giving enough pressure

B) Not using a small enough tip diameter.

C) Using too much time.

I also suspect that making the electrodes glow red is not normal is it ?

Errr, Spotmatics are made by SIP, not Sealey
James, it might be worth ringing SIP direct and asking if they'll send you a copy, Tel: (01509) 500300
Having never used a spotwelder I can't advise on where you're going wrong, sorry.

taa woz, but the tech section would proberly show the way to use etc.. too high power,low pressure, etc
