Something I don't need to do much any more as I get loads of free pallet bearers.
Anyway found some big chunks of wood in the warehouse which I decided to split to clear out of the way.
Machine Mart Log Buster 3 is surprisingly powerful. Not much it fails on.
I use a pusher to reduce cycle times and you get more oomph at the start of the stroke. Motor tends to overheat after a while so I used to use a desk fan to keep it cool.
Highly recommended to anyone who needs to split lots of wood.

Trust me you wouldn't split this very easily with an axe - huge knots all the way through it at all sorts of angles.

I have for many years - bought it in 2000 - has probably split over 200 tons in it's time. As I said I use a large desk fan to keep it cool.
Motor is 1500W so not that bad.

Sure you would have a yard truck to mount one of these onto. Always at the right height for you but can be lowered right down to roll big lumps on. This one's still work in progress but OK as is.
