A while ago I bought a used Speedglas 9002D mask from another forum member and up until today it has worked perfectly. This morning after using it for about 1 hour of intermittent TIG welding it just stopped working with no warning . I checked the batteries, 2.9v in each so swapped for to 2 new batteries both reading 3.2v and it did momentarily switch on a couple of times just for a second or two then nothing and now it doesn't react to the on switch.
I have checked the batteries and the battery holders, cleaned the circuit board where the batteries connect, although it was pretty clean to start with and looking at the circuit board can see nothing obviously wrong. Is it worth trying to locate a replacement filter or board for it used or otherwise?
When it stopped working the internal screen was a bit misted at the bottom from my breath in the cold garage but the helmet itself was completely dry and everything kept in my garage stays dry.
Any ideas please.
