spare torch 151 TE

I have a clarke 151 TE for a few years and am really happy with it. However, I'm having a few problems with the torch - excuse the crappy descriptions but here goes.

The shroud at the very end of the torch rotates but no longer unscrews so I cannot get in to change the tip.

also the metal tube that the shroud is mounted on is loose in the handle and keeps dropping out. I have split the handle and the pipe comes into a small block with the gas supply and electrical supply. I'm not sure how the pipe was originally secured into the block - its not threaded (could it have just been glued in?)

I've checked with clarke but they only supply the whole unit complete £45 ex vat and delivery.

Any thoughts on a home solution would be most welcome.

not glued, might be an o ring in the brass block, there should be a black (rubber?) cover over the brass tube that I think gets clamped by the handle covers to hold the tube in
