Space heater fan wiring

I've been given a fan from a space heater that i intend to use for something else.
Problem is the wiring has me a little confused.

There are 8 wires.
1 is an earth.
2 go to a capacitor.

The heater only had 1 speed setting unless there was something automatic about it.

Any ideas chaps?

What type of motor is it? Fans are usually fairly simple motors with 2 wires.

Could it be dual 110v 230v.

Is this from a static space heater or a small space heater. But as before a picture could help

See if that helps a little.

It's from a propane space heater, like the ones often seen in machine mart.
It may well be dual voltage, i think i can remember there being a selector on the side casing.

There was no setting for speeds though.

Having a look at the connectors, the red, black, brown and blue have male spades. Maybe the two voltages. The grey had a female spade which has me wondering if it's a signal to check the fan is running to allow gas solenoid to open?

If you have a good multi meter can you do a quick continuity test between each wire and see whats connected to what internally.
Then note down the resistance of the appropriate coils.
All with the capacitor disconnected.

I don't have a meter to hand but do have a continuity tester.
There is continuity between
Red-blue-purple
And
Brown - black-orange-grey

Purple & orange were to the cap.

There's a good chance male spades are power in and female are power out.
