after posting in another thread earlier today about mobile workshops, I remembered about Southbend Lathes demonstraton vehicles, so rather than spamming that thread, I thought I'd start a new one,

Apparently the first run didn’t have the forward support for the pedestal. The one pictures is the one my Dad left me the lathe on the back of the station wagon has been passed down by my Grandfather although ( alas ) there is no gear selection just the gear set

the yanks have a totally different outlook on selling.......lived ther for 5 years......
but of course they tool up n make millions of products (bigger market) and not just a few thousand as in the UK......
shame we have such high import duties.....but thats just protectionism isn't it......
