You, sir, are a mentalist and therefore a credit to the forum. I particularly like the Radio Flyer. I particularly like the effort that's gone into the front suspension and steering. It would be great to see the rear end as that looks equally interesting. How do you sit in it? Is it just for kids?

Great stuff..I actually have a petrol motor off a strimmer heading my way and plan to make 'something' for the grandson..initial plan is a trike of some sorts.

Heres how you ride 'em!..as demo'd by one of my sons a few yrs ago!

I must add...the original idea for this type of thing is American....probably first done by the late Ed Roth,customiser extrodinaire! I just sort of Anglicised it! A mate bought the Flyer from me, to advertise his tyre whitewalling business.
I have another in the works,but probabaly wont do it until I retire,cos Ive got so many things on the go!

The full size trike is now finished,MSVA'd and going fine(touches wood!)SWMBO and I went on a reccy trip to France on it this year,as a preliminary to a much larger adventure to France in 2013 on it.
I am now doing another trike ,this time a reverse trike with seating like a car,powered by a 1300 x flow,rear wheel drive.Sort of like a Pembleton,but thats another story!
Ive also done several car roof chops,a stretched 6 wheel van etc etc ,over the last 40 odd years.I'll put some more pics up one day!

That's fantastic stuff. What's the diff and axle off in the last photo? I can imagine it getting a bit difficult to obtain the like now.

i see a odd pair of legs in the first pic was see a test pilot with the reverse trike
one of my favourites was the Greenwood mini racer was it a bike was it a car they tried to ban but couldn't that season so next season they changed the rules

Looks like a Reliant Regal axle, I have one if you need it!

Indded it is! Complete drivetrain in fact!
The pic of the small trike frame..was just a guess as to how a trike frame looked,just used the "triangulate everything " principle! Never finished it,gave it away to someone on Retro Rides yonks ago.
The Reliant powered one took me about 3 yrs to finish,but all the toil (and wonga!)was well worth it for the grin factor when I ride it!
