Some jobs yesterday

Did a few little jobs yesterday. I started making new levelling feet for my lathe as the rubber on the old ones had all split.

Mild steel 75 mm round with M12 High tensile threaded rod is the idea.

Then the SSE guy who services my boiler came to see me. He asked if I could make a small plastic oil control sleeve for a shaft from his motor home gearbox. Old one had completely disintegrated.

yea you end up with a lot of friends you didn't know you had . and when you want something doing there allways busy the day you want and even the day after

Well I actually said to him I could make a part for his van gearbox, when he mentioned it to me. My boiler is in my shop, so we naturally get talking about the machines when he comes to service it.

He offered me money when I gave him the shaft back. I didn't take it.
