Some cool stuff I’ve been printing

Ok so I’m lucky enough to have some amazing 3D printers to play with, from some cheap desktop flash forge printers at one end, up to full industrial / commercial grade units from Stratasys
(The 2cnc mills and cnc lathe in the machine shop cost less than the 3 Stratasys printers)

These are all off the polyjet J55
17micron layer thickness and over 7000 colours available
All these are essentially as printed full colour and texture

The humans were 3D scanned with an Artec Leo handheld scanner, and printed on the j55.
The scary thing is, the face is accurate enough to trigger the facial recognition on his phone

And once you lightly cut and polish it, it comes up like glass

Business cards are super fun

These even blew the Stratasys guys away, oh and the QR code on the back works too, takes you to the webpage and it’s all printed in one hit, no post processing

Yep that’s all part of the new engineering facility I manage and am responsible for there, along with CNC machine shop, materials testing, robotics etc

Too many robotic arms and not enough manual/cnc lathes/mills if you ask me
