If you're ever unsure,use the 30 amps per mm rule,and start off below what you think it needs.

No panic.miller have an app that gives guidelines as to amps,polarity,filler etc for all processes thats handy if you have a smartphone

Another good thing to do on thin material or when joints are not long and straight like pipes etc is to use manual pulsing (assuming youre not using a pedal). If you can adjust up- and down slope try about 2s up and 3-5 s down. When metal is getting to hot or you need to slow down travelspeed to reposition or similar just release trigger. Hit it again when needed. Makes it much easier on thin stock.
