Solenoid Valves - 240v - High Pressure CO2

Hi guys,

In need of a couple of replacement Solenoid Valves for some equipment not related to welding at all. Have tried the original supplier, but they are wanting £240 plus VAT and Carriage per item, which is down right ridiculous in my opinion.

Looking for single entry, single exit, so assume this is a 2/2 and Normally Closed.

Quick bit of research shows bottle pressure of CO2 is 831.04 psia (57.30 bar) at 68 °F (20 °C). Assume the valve will also have to deal with both Melting point/range of -70 °F (-56.6 °C) and Boiling point/range of -127 °F (-88.1 °C).

Tried Red Dragon Valves, but their site quite simply confuses me at the moment, and just about everything else that comes up is American, and therefor 120v.

Anyone have dealings with this sort of thing on a day-to-day/week-to-week basis at all?

Have you looked for suppliers of automatic CO2 fire extinguishing systems, there is normally a means of discharging electrically so they would need a high pressure solenoid valve.
Don't worry too much about coil voltage, you can normally get different voltage coils to fit the valve.

No idea if it's any help, I sourced some solenoids from a place in the slough trading estate; can't be any more specific than that as it was years ago, It might help your search.
I used to have a thick phone directory called Dial Services[or Industries?], it probably had a section for: Solenoids general purpose.
