Soft close drawer runners.

We have a Wickes integrated bin and the runners have failed, they are 480mm long but I can't find any that are 480mm only 450 and 500mm.
I've bought some 450 ones and think they will do the job bit it bugs me that I can't find the right ones.
Any ideas on where to look?

They dont seem to have 480mm but I bought a load of Klug's from Ironmongerydirect which have been taking space on my floor for 4 years! Appears a good shop for them.

You can't really cut them down.
I can't believe that Wickes must have sold thousands of these but I can't find replacements.

I would be ignoring the exact closed, or indeed the extended, length - as long as the travel length/stroke is at least the same, then all good.

They are designed to fail and be un obtainable, so your Mrs starts moaning that you need a new kitchen!

Another thing to check with those is the extended length, they usually extend far more than a standard drawer runner as you want the bins to totally clear the worktop above, otherwise you can't lift the bin out of the frame. I had the same issue with a cheap bin set (not Wickes) a couple of years ago and never managed to find a decent pair of runners

They are about 10mm shorter than the originals.

They are designed to fail and be un obtainable, so your Mrs starts moaning that you need a new kitchen!

It is a (relatively) new kitchen!

Assuming they will physically fit in the cabinet, there's nothing wrong with runners a few CM too long.

The problem is that the 500mm ones stick out past the carcass.
I'll try to fit the ones I've got but I'll need to drill out some rivets to get the old ones off.

Theres only one reason is you'll need to adjust the stop which is easily done.
