Years ago I was at an machinery auction that was a dream, loads of lots and because of the bad weather very few buyers. I ended up buying my Colchester Student, an Edwards shaper and a Mubea 90 ton single ended ironworker amongst other things, lots were going for a pittance!
One of the items I passed on, to my reget, was a brilliant spring making machine. You loaded it with a spool of the required spring wire, set the guides to suit the spring size and length required and hit the On button, think it went for £40 ish if I remember correctly.
With the advent of the internet you just don't get auctions like that anymore!
