I read on here months ago that a pretty good welder was made for some Italian company by wing wah woo (or something like that) in China. The 'Italian' welder sold for about £1800 and so i]my friend in China bought one for me for about £500.
The welder arrived about a month ago and cos i was really busy it stayed in its box until Christmas Eve when my faithfull ancient max arc died.
I wired up the new welder and played with the pulse, up and down slope, max current, base current and di some gorgeous welds.
This was last Tuesday, Wednesday I switched it on everything fine except no arc. The readout showed it was creating the pulses at their set currents etc, the gas flowed, it made the right noises but the torch was dead. Checked the lead in a borrowed welder it was ok, looked inside the box, no obvious loose connections etc.
So yes its my fault, buying cheap, with no backup etc but i cant quite face chucking it in the bin.
Can I eat humble pie and ask, can anyone help???? Also i'm in the market for
a good quality welder with all the bells and whistles having been sold on all the features whilst doing 10 inches of welding at what is currently a cost of £50 per inch!
Thx in advance and feel free to laugh and take the P!
Im hoping theres a pic of the welder here
