Does anybody know if Snap-On tools bought from the official UK web site can be exchanged when faulty at any UK franchise dealer (i.e. van)?

might have trouble, officialy yes but the van guys will come up with all sorts of reasons why not. st least the one that comes my way would....

yes probably ive had screwdrivers replaced that i bought from carbootsale that broke

pretty sure you can.if not give it to your local friendly mechanic with a snap on account to get it replaced/repaired when the van comes round .
ps they dont count wear and tear ,miss use etc

i have found that unless you (or your workplace) deal with a snap on dealer regularly, as autocare says they come up with all sorts of reasons why they shouldnt replace, repair etc.

although last month i had a ratchet mechanism changed in a snap on retcheting screwdriver by a van that i had never seen before that came to our place on the off-chance, this could have been a getting a foot in the door tactic!

Its part of Snap-on guarantee, if the dealer won't play ball, phone Snap-on UK and complain, but make sure its not damage.

No matter where you get it from, if its broken, they should be replacing it.
If you know the dealer, its much easier. I would expect you may be able to send it back to you nearest Snapon distributor.
