snap on 130 turbo advice

so ive decided that i need to replace my mig with something that takes up a bit less room, my old 130 amp beast is great but is the size of a house and with the prospect of moving house soon i suspect space will be at a premium.

i have found a snop on 130 for reasonable money but just wanted to gauge opinions really ive already heard about the torch and earth clamp needing an upgrade which is not to much of an issue

i just wanted to know what these machines are like to use, are they half decent? i know they are badged up under a few different names but they are all decent companies so i assumed they would be fairly well made.

i mostly use the mig for car stuff but occasionally use it for things a bit heavier upto maybe say 4mm would this handle it?

Just do a search on here for 'Snap-on/Cebora 130 mig' or something similar.
Lots of comments and info in previous posts.
Generally gets a good rating, parts can be a little more than similar m/cs, especially if you buy from Snap-on. Torches may have had one or two problems, can't remember now.

They are a great little welder, however the torch does leave a lot to be deired. I have a euro toch conversion on mine and have replaced the eath lead too. I got a 4m torch, which can be a bit much for the wire feed, so in hindsight i would go for a 3m.
the original torch have a valve in the trigger for the gas supply. this is a small brass block to which the swan neck ataches. the valve becones leaky and also the swan neck liner can be troublesome. Both of these maladies are resolved with the torch conversion.

i have done a search but there is so much stuff on here its hard to find what i need, gonna price up the torch conversion and see whether its worth going for or just wait for something that has a euro torch already.
