Got myself a pair of each of of the 1.6 and 2.4 mm diameter stubby length gas lenses after finding some onli e at a reasonable price, £8ish each.
Been using them to make up a few bits and bobs with some tight spaces involved, so they came in very very usefull lol.
As the job is developing their are quite a few parts that are long welds run in at 120-125 amps.
(They were being used on a wp18 350amp watercooled torch and were absolutely fine on other parts welded at 150-160amps without even the slightest dullness in the brass).
Basically the watercooled torch has gone up the spout. Now only have a 17 at my disposal, in which the standard copper collets have turned a rather dark colour through prolonged heating during the longer runs.
Am i likely to destroy the lenses if i use these????
