this was just a quick attempt the filler rod was not great and the metal also was not gteat.

Question does the ceramic shield restrict pool size or is it a combo of amps and tungsten? Comemments welcome as i want to learn the best i can many thanks dave

thanks guys. so if i moved across the work piece slower with higher amps with filler rod i could make my dimes look neater. or is that on experience i get that neatness.

No going much higher than you already are wil result in a greyer oxidised weld. Keep a nise tight ark for a controlled pool and the tungsten sharp, use a 1mm filler too. The 1.6 cools the weld pool too much too quickly. I go on about 40a a milimeter as a general rule of thumb. Add 20% to that if using filler.
