Small 240v genny to run 110v tranny

Me mate is thinking about buying a cheap genny, constant output of 650w (240v)
It has no 110v outlet.

He has a belle mixer, which is 110v. Would running the mixer through a 3.3kva transformer, powered by said genny give problems, would it even work?

But the tranny wouldnt be drawing 3.3kva though...if only using 0.65kw motor...would it...?

not quite sure but the start up of the mixer motor would probably be too much the motor is 650 same as output of genny no head room for starting of motor

usually go for a 2.4kva for a mixer

The transformer won't take 3.3kva to run, it can handle 3.3kva.

is the mixer motor really 0.65 kW?

it wont work.....it will be too much for a small genny..... we use 750w mixers on a 1500va transformer and a 1000w output inverter often trips out ...the load of the tranny and mixer and energy losses just are bit too much so dont know how big ya mixer is but sure it will be far too much

the initial startup of a 3,3kw transformer can take a 30 amp breaker out . it would stall the genny

The transformer will be no problem. Whether the mixer is too much of load is questionable. I'd want a 1500VA genny. I consider anything less a camping genny
