We had them [and Ants] when we moved in here. I found waiting 30mins or so after all the lights have been switched off, they’ll start to come out. Its just a case of collecting them every night until they’ve gone. I cant remember how long that took to be honest, it was the only way we got rid.
In the garden, I was once told if you want rid of slugs, chuck the pellets over nextdoors fence.

Took me about an hour with my shop vac. A couple of days a year they just appeared in swarms of juvenile slugs. Neighbours must have thought I was going mental hoovering the garden but I got them all in one go and they haven't returned yet except for the odd one or two you normally get.

modern slug pellets don't harm birds if they eat the dead slugs so when we plant flowers just dose round the house and garden twice a year and it sees them off
