These slots in mild steel bar are for some adjustable brackets for a mate. To save time, I plunged in full depth at the inside edge, then came back up and milled sideways for several passes.
Accuracy is not critical in this case, but why is the plunged hole larger than the subsequent slot?
Cutter is pictured, and appears to be a centre-cutting 4 flute, 12mm HSS endmill.
X and Y axes were locked.
