Get the same issue with a yorkstone crazy paving path and the answer is to pressure wash that as well. This takes the algae off and makes it grippy againWe have a fair sized deck area & when it gets slippery I pressure was it
Too late not to pressure wash now but its solved it for the time being.Preasure washing drives the spores of the moss / algi further into the wood
Wash with Sodium Percarbonate and then rinse
Have used for years was suggested by friend in USA where wood is much more widely used in buildings

Just brush on? Then hose off?
Might get a couple of tubs of their decking oil too. My brother works next door to them so he can grab some for me!
Still smells awful, can't vouch for a recipe, last time I used it on decking it made it non slip for a fair while. Until I fell over in fact.Does it still?? I know it used to but thought the good bits had been removed of late?
Yup that looks like it may have been a little low on friction ! Not sure I’d bother staining it … I like the natural colour.
Yep I use it on my holiday cottage stone patios and door steps, takes the mould out of the cement on the shaded bits.Jeyes fluid kills the slime/moss, and practically anything else it touches..
+1 for what it worth. The bit outside the back door here doesn’t get sun this time of year for about 2 months so goes all green.Jeyes fluid kills the slime/moss, and practically anything else it touches..
