That was a very, very lucky escape.
I have a picture of a guy who got his sweater caught, on a big lathe, and the only recognisable part of his remains is an eye ball peering out of a mass of red meat and bones. I won’t post it, but it’s on the internet.

I can't see that was filing under power. I think that's it's a posed shot. But it does get the point across.
There is a youtube video showing someone being wrapped around the workpiece on a large lathe. They definitely didn't survive that.

Looks decidedly fake to me, but it can definitely happen.
When it does I can imagine it invoking extreme panic, you certainly wouldn’t be thinking about getting your phone out.

no, there is many a fake video on reels on fb, I don't think he would still be holding the file after that happened but it is something that could happen to someone with a dangling shirt sleeve.

not disputing loose clothing can be caught up on a lathe or any other bit of machinery but that video is pure dross
