We have a slate doorstep on some comervatory doors. The carpet in the conservatory touches the slate on the inside and is wet. In all this rain, it looks like the water is wicking along a very fine crack in the slate from outside to in and onto the carpet.
Is there a sealer that would work well to seal the exterior side of the crack/slate? It's very fine so unless I rake it out, epoxy slate sealers are unlikely to get in the slate.
