slate ripper

anyone know where i can get a slaters ripper, sometimes called a tile ripper, off the shelf?

screwfix and b and q don't know what they are, haven't got a local tool station that i know of, or machine mart and will need it for a job sat morning.

never bought tiles to be honest. i was given one of these ages ago by my grandfather but it was nicked with all the other stuff so need a new one.

nearest tool station is about 22 miles away. will see if i can find a roofing suppliers. i was hoping wickes would sell them, that's where i got my rolls of flashing from the other week

found a roofing supplier/builders merchants in town, according to Google maps they are under the bridge where i crashed my cbr400 so will give them a try in the morning

never knew there was anything under the bridge, I knew there was a road but from the bridge you can only see and old scrappies yard and usually a few wagons parked up with their curtains drawn

I found them through their website, just used maps to locate them

You've seen the one toolstation has why not knock one up?

yes, got one now, £6 and seems as sturdy as the one I had. time will tell but there isn't much to go wrong.

I was considering making one but don't have any steel that I can harden, and didn't fancy taking a chance on case hardening it.
