SLA batteries

Here's one for the forum collective

The generator at the stables has a 12v 14Ah SLA battery, after about 5 years it has finally died so I started looking for a replacement. Many hours of searching throws up loads with standard 6.3mm spade terminals, but I am looking for one with vertical tabs with a 5mm holes in, worst case I suppose I could buy a common one and bend the tabs up followed by drilling holes in, but at 6.3mm wide that's not going to leave a lot of metal round the hole.
Another option is I've found some with an M5 tapped post, but worry about getting a tight enough connection without stripping the soft thread .
Measures 150mm long x 100mm wide x 100mm deep approx.
So has anyone seen anything like it?.

Thanks for the ideas, but terminals have to be at one end due to cable lengths.

no they don't, if you can deal with the currents in welding I am pretty sure you could extend one or more cables

you could also make a cable adapter so you didn't have to drill

Or you could even make totally new cables to avoid having a join

just saying, you have options

Vertical tabs seem to have fallen out of favor all the 12v sla batteries I’ve had recently are the above style with vertical bolts, Capacities have changed ( upwards ). But dimensions the same
