Hi all,
i've got a problem with my SIP 150 amp welder, its a wire feed problem but before you al groan 'oh not this again' it seems to be different to the usual problems (about which I have learned loads on this forum). Basically, its too fast! I normally have it set to 2-3 out of 10 on the wire feed speed, but lately I have been turning it right down as far as it will go and while it still works, its still faster than i would like. It does vary the speed, if I crank it up to 10 it goes so fast it sounds like a GP motorcycle at full chat. I've already done the reinforcing bracket on the rollers and put a teflon liner in, and it does do a nice weld, but is there anything I can check/do to get the wire feed spped consistently down? Maybe I need a rubber torch liner or something.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Richard
