Was using my Migmate 130 yesterday for welding on the car and feed wire started to run erratically. Thought it was slipping but noticed the top tensioning wheel was running out of vertical so there was uneven clamping force on the wire which was also allowing the wire to ride up out of the groove on the motor driven wheel. Couldn't see what the problem was at first until I studied the plastic 'axle' that the tensioner wheel sits on. It was bent. Being only plastic, the axle is not rigid enough to keep the tensioner wheel vertical.
Is there an upgrade kit that uses a metal pivot axle as the current plastic one is causing inconsistent wire feed and weld quality?
Cheers,
Andrew
