SIP liner issue - another!

Trying to put a 1.0mm teflon liner in but brass ferrule won't come off steel spring liner? its crimped on.

What do i do?

buy a new swan neck liner to suit. my cebora torch was the same.

hows that going to hold the power cable to the block? the ferrule does that too!

which gas valve do you have the plastic or the brass?
Dont you get a ferrule on the end of the new teflon liner?

I put a Teflon liner in my mig, it lasted one reel of wire :-(

Are you fitting it to run Aluminium wire?

yeah fitting it for aluminium wire - 1mm stuff. yes brass no, no ferrule on the teflon liner. gas valve is brass. was hoping you can by another ferrule?

sorted it think, about to have a go in a bit. I carefully cut round the ferrule and took the crimped bit off freeing the threaded part to be use on any liner. Everything seems tightly in place.

Think its worth getting a cheap ebay spool gun purely to save the aggro of swapping over when you want to do steel or aluminium. next 75 quid won't be missed is going on one.
