Sip I deal 240 mig powers up but no click< no wire feed no gas no life!

Ok so the machine was working fine then the next morning was completely dead so we put it away to settle down/dry out for a couple of days thinking hopefully it was just damp or something... then we plugged it back in, this time you can hear the fan fire up but when you press the trigger on the torch there is nothing... there is a box inside that normally clicks when you press the trigger which seems to be doing nothing even when pressed in manually it will just get a spark but still no gas or wire or anything? the pcb looks intact if a little dirty, and also there was a red led next to the fuse on the front which isnt on anymore... We have had the machine for just over a year with no problems till now, it gets alot of heavy usage on high power in cold/ damp conditions... Any ideas what could be wrong? would it be possible to fix ourselves? Any help/ suggestions would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advence! Ted..

Give the hose connection a bit of a wiggle where it connects to the box. I have an Ideal 180 and the only time it ever played up was when the spring connections went a bit squiffy. Took it off and replaced it and it's been perfect ever since!

Hi yeah cheers! I forgot to mention we have tried two different hoses that both work fine on the other machine but still nothing... :-(

Might be a silly question but have you refitted the "red" wire near the fuse you said was off? Is the fuse and fuse holder good? Could be the fuse (if it's about 5amp or less) controls the low voltage supply ie power to pcb, wire feed motor ect. Hence nowt when trigger pressed or "contactor" (the device that normaly clunks) manualy pressed.

Still nothing... All wires fully intact, fuse intact and holder checked and cleaned. Would rather not have to pay through the roof for a callout when it could be something simple but its looking that way...
