sip 105 problem

Hello all, I have an sip 105 which I've had from new. I made the mistake of loaning it out and now has a fault which I hope someone can identify. When the trigger is pulled the wire hits the workpiece sparks and then just glows red like the bar on an electric fire.Welder then makes a humming sound. Any suggestions much appreciated,

you will need to test the output with a meter to test for ac output it should be dc and the welding rectifier acould have gone

Check the connection of the torch at the machine, it may have been pulled loose.

OItherwise if no other bad connections, then a rectifier diode probably went bad.

Thanks for the replies guys.Had a look today cleaned all connections and worked all rocker switches .Machine now welding but does not like being on full power. So that is enough for me as I only use it for car body repairs.Thanks again.
