Sink overflow

Struggling to find a replacement fitting for our kitchen sink overflow - per the pictures. It’s not a simple push in like all internet searches seem to throw up. It has (had!) a screw through the middle which retains the (rectangular) overflow attachment and pipe behind the sink. It’s a Silestone sink - I have gone to them but no response yet.

Thought I’d throw it out to the experience on here !

I’ve got a rubber grommet in the hole for now…. And this at least was the explanation for a circuit which kept tripping off. Water was leaking onto the dishwasher plug below. At least it wasn’t a dishwasher replacement that I initially feared !

Maybe go have a look in Screwfix , Tool station , Wickes or PlumbSure & if they have a complete device & rubber washers ... buy it & fit it .
Making sure the pipe diameters are the same as yours . Bitter experience over 50 or more years tells me that nowadays each manufacturer appears to have their own unique sized parts . Such as 41.5mm , 42 mm, 43mm & 44 mm for their own pipe sizes .

I doubt if B&Q will be much use they seem to only sell the cheapest nastiest things they can get away with

Managed to get one through the kitchen fitter off constantino - waiting for it to arrive. As above lots of plastic out there but nothing quite right. Hopefully this fits in. Might order another one for 4 years time if this one is going to dissolve as well.

Bitter experience over 50 or more years tells me that nowadays each manufacturer appears to have their own unique sized parts . Such as 41.5mm , 42 mm, 43mm & 44 mm for their own pipe sizes .

Exactly this - I’ve got quite a few odds & sods amassed over the course of several kitchen and bathroom refits for those ’just in case’ events.

There was an occasion when B&Q were giving the stuff away in their ‘trade’ area, but because of the strange sizes, it remained largely untouched. Shame really.

depth and also if they are retangle shaped are gits to find for overflow only one type is best in that range was always the bath one

I spent a lot of money chasing things for our kitchen sink extra high monobloc swan neck . Got sorted by online " Tap magician " , sold all the non fitting stuff for a fiver at a car boot .
