Single Phase Mig

Looking to purchase a Mig for the workshop to do a variety of small and bigger jobs. Pain having to take stuff away to get welding done with a Mig. One job I want done is to extend the shed.

Will be on a single phase 32/40a supply so just wondering if a Mig on my single phase would manage RSJ’s in sizes of 203x102x23 or the bigger 203x133x25?

Any recommendations would be grateful.

A 32/40 amp single-phase supply should be sufficient for running the larger single-phase machines. The Oxford range is exceptionally reliable and built to last. However, if you have access to three-phase power, it would be a much better choice for your intended applications. Just be sure to keep an eye on the duty cycle to avoid any issues during operation.

Will be on the ground. Portable could be of benefit but nearly all ground work.

No access to three phase but it will be looked into in the future.
