single phase into 3 phase

basically ive got a welding job to do for a mate, id prefer to do it over at his workshop where the job is but my tig plant is single phase 32 amp and he only has a regular 13amp single phase and 3 phase.

i was wondering if it was possible to wire it into one of the phases and earth as he has a spare male plug kicking around.

NOT IN TO THE EARTH NO. u can tap of fuse box from a 30 amp breaker or fuse and conect to neutral bar giving u 230 240v of one of the phases and conect earth lead to earth bar with a lead out to your socket/ using the earth as a neutral is a no go even though its conected back at source of supply or pme

You'll need to find a neutral, not earth.

The earth connection is a safety device and you stand the risk of causing a fire, electrocuting people and causing trips to trip if you use it as a neutral.

oh well,if was easy to just switch some wires in a plug but its not really worth rewiring his workshop as the the fuse box is right over the other side of where i want to be and i dont have an extension long enough.
