Hello, I have a Sincro EW 240 MDC welder that barley arcs on the medium or low settings but welds fine on the high setting. Anyone know what would cause this? The welder has been like this since new and I bought it without a warranty.
I posted this for my uncle lastnight, today he showed me the welder. There is a 3 way switch(High,Medium and Low), and there is a dial to turn up and down the the voltage. So with the welder on the Low setting you should be able to adjust the voltage between say 50 and 110, medium should be 110 to 170 and high 170 to 240. He said it works fine on the high setting and he can adjust the power, but on medium and low the voltage is weak and will no adjust.
