Simple pipe in pipe bearing

Anyone help. I need to make a very simple test jig for work for positioning and was thinking of using a pipe within a pipe.

I was thinking of using 2"sch 40 with 1.5" sch 10 inside. This gives a total clearence of 4mm. Close but not close enough.

Need something closer to 2mm. Any ideas on suitable pipe?

if i understand what your trying to do correctly, get some plastic pipe a similer size maybe 40mm and slide it inbetween the pipe bearing surfaces.
you can even cut the plastic pipe length ways to make it slightly bigger or smaller and pack it out with more plastic pipe till its a snug fit

use some solid bar, drill out 2 pieces of 5mm flat to suit the solid bar then weld 1 to each end of the tube and it will pivot 360 degrees

Is it a rotary or a linear bearing you're making?

Yes. Its just a very basic rotating table.

Try a heavier SCH 2inch and bore it to suit if length isn't a problem.
