Although, there will be some reflective heat/UV rays from welding Alu, compared to normal steel, so make sure your arms and neck etc are well covered.

Oh Actually if I'd thought about it I spose thats the reason gas shades are less strong? Thanks for the answer, have been meaning to replace my cheapo flip mask with an electric jobby for some time now, so its good if I can do aLu too!
