Probably. The common flavours of oxyfuel brazing wires are often called siliconbronze and while they contain a little silicon are about 40% zinc... the zinc volatises/boils off with TIG and makes a right mess. The designation is C2 (sifbronze #1) or C5 for the nickel bearing flavour (sifbronze #2) and they're often (or at least used to be) tagged with a splodge of paint kinda like tungstens arehave they given me the wrong stuff?
Which ones do you use John?Gas rods have zink In them no good for TIG
