Signs like vehicle number plates... but bigger?

It isn't constricted in the least... I don't know where you got that impression from; plenty of space in the lane to reverse - cars can actually pass each other in it.

So why do the holiday makers do it if not constricted, there must be a reason.

I could understand a sign for obstruction or inconvenience, but a get off my land type of one foot in the grave sketch is wasting money on a sign Imo.

It costs you nothing to be nice. Literally.

Sheer laziness. The previous owner was in his seventies and never once struggled to reverse into his drive from the lane, and Mrs TF has reversed her horse trailer into ours without much effort.

Folk arrive at their holiday let, see the sign on the cottage opposite, see its adjacent drive and turn into our property before reversing back into it. Last year I was in my home office and someone drove so far in that I could briefly see the driver from my window!

I also understand when they are parking where they shouldn’t, or pulling up outside your window etc. But to stop people just turning at the top of your driveway seems to me like something not worth getting annoyed over

i have active infrared beam on my drive its 10 foot back from the gate posts gravel drive . they just back rite in and set em off then tootle off caught a guy one day so i knocked on his window and he just laughed and ignored me and drove out he clipped the gate post and it wrecked his rear door and back wing the post is solid wood 150 years old and 12 inch square it takes no prisoners
