hi looking at doing some welding semi outside well what i mean is it is under cover but the chance of a breeze lol so just wanted to no if there anything i can do to make my mig welder work better in this enviroment??? not to keen on gasless wire dont like the finish of it!! are there any dif shrouds or stuff like that or any tips to make life eayer when welding with a breeze???

Put up some sort of windbreak and turn the gas up a bit.

I would just turn the gas flow rate up a bit and try and shield the work from the worst of the breeze (put up a screen or something to block it out). Best to avoid days when there is a significant breeze.

If you turn the gas up too high you will end up creating more problems than you solve. Windbreak is the best way round it

I have been MIG welding outside for more than 35 years and yes a windbreak is the best thing. I also use CO2 for some jobs and that i just crank it up a little as i don't want to waste my prefered 75/25 mix gas...Bob
