show us your vintage hand saws

i have several old hand saws (panel and back saws) that i have collected over the years from UK and USA makers, historical information on american saws seems to be well covered however UK makers not so much.
I have a spear and jackson no 24 etch saw, however has a warranted eagle medallion, i cant seem to find any info on early Spear and jackson saws, not sure if someone has changed the medallion or the entire handle, any suggestions.
anyway it would be very interesting to see what others hand saws people have in their collections

The brand to have when I was a trainee wood butcher was disston , but then you hard sharpening time on a friday a saw set and quality triangular files ahh the good old days not !

I have a fair selection of old Saws, I still use a Diston Philadelphia tenon saw i got off my grandad, plus there is a large Diston rip saw & 4 panel & crosscut saws. Couple of spear & Jacksons & an odd few others i cant remember the maker. Trouble is I discovered the Japanese pull saw about 25 years ago & now have 4 of them in various sizes, The speed & quality of the cut is just superior in every way & now the Distons languish in their drawer! Another aspect is having a worn out elbow i cannot push things without a lot of pain & a Saw you pull as opposed to push simply doesnt hurt as much!
I do have a saw sharpening vice & have the files to do it but dont do my own sharpening very often.
Another one of Grandads is a dirty great 7ft crosscut felling saw, this we sharpened for a special job a few years back & it absolutely tore through the timber!

If you can stand the arrogant staff. The Hawley saw collection at Kelham island museum in Sheffield is a good resource. The rest of the museum is really good as well.
