Bit of everything really its looking like it will be one big long bench with a shadow board behind it, one end for dirty stuff with metal top and one for cleaner covered in a sheet of think plastic stuff I have spare. Is Winchboy soldering PCB`s or beating up castings with a sledge hammer on this workbench?
Bob
From personal experience grinding should be outside but when it means constantly taking a piece in and out it ends up inside. Plan for that in my opinion, dust extraction etc.Bit of everything really its looking like it will be one big long bench with a shadow board behind it, one end for dirty stuff with metal top and one for cleaner covered in a sheet of think plastic stuff I have spare.
I think grinding will be outside
We can only try, I think we will set up a grinding bench outside and see how it goesFrom personal experience grinding should be outside but when it means constantly taking a piece in and out it ends up inside. Plan for that in my opinion, dust extraction etc.
Was this steel top cut to shape specifically for your purpose ?What’s it for predominantly?
I have a couple, one for a bit of everything and one for metal forming etc. No finished pics but you will get the idea.

That’s cool. It's not mine, but the bench in this video looks pretty good and is something I'm thinking of doing once I get my garage sorted.
The euro boxes used for draws in this aren't cheap if you're buying lots but they are pretty sturdy and versitile.
Same guy has done a welding table which might be of interest. That's also seems quite well thought outThat’s cool.
