shop fittings

As i have been doing bit of xmas shopping noticed alot of shops these days are being fitted out with lots of industrial type metal work from stairs to shelves and clothes displays. this is sort of work i would love to get into! does anyone now what the right route is to get into this type of work?

Just get in touch with their head office and offer your services, but my bet is they most probably have a shopfitting firm that have a contract to do their stores.

A place I used to work at did a lot of shop fittings, rails, tables and such like. Large quantities, small prices per unit.
That was for one of the large umbrella companies.

Not sure how they got in on it, but it was always jobs that were priced near the bone....

Now, if you are shopping in fancy boutiques. perhaps that's a different story...
