I have recently collected my "shielding gas" from George Jamieson of Clola, Mintlaw, Peterhead.
He's recently took on the agency for Adam Gas.

Is that the place which used to have LOADS of VWs, both bugs and campervans, lying about?

Not sure about, where he used to be but now he's in Clola, near Mintlaw Peterhead.
Really easy to do business with. I recommend his service to Hobby welders and Professionals alike.
